Student FAQ's
Learning Unlimited is a flat fee course material model that can lower the cost of materials for full-time undergraduate students, keeps course material costs constant, makes acquiring materials easier, and ensures those students have access to all of their required course materials on or before the first day of class. Through this program, physical books are conveniently packaged and provided to students on a rental basis, and digital materials are delivered directly within Course Site. Costs are part of tuition and fees. At the end of the term, students receive email reminders to return their rented physical course materials to The Lehigh Store.

Yes. While this program is expected to ease the process of obtaining your required course materials and keep costs consistent, students have the option to opt-out of this program. The opt-out period for each semester is open 30 days prior to the first day of class and ends on the 10th day of class.
Once opted out, you will not receive access to your materials and will be responsible for purchasing all required course materials from The Lehigh Store: www.lehigh.bncollege.com
If you later decide that you would like to participate after you opt out, you may opt back into the program by following the steps in the email confirmation you received after opting out. Please note you must make your final selection by each semester’s add/drop dates.
Fall 2026 semester tuition bills are due . If your opt-out credit is not applied to your bursar account by the payment due date and you are making a payment reflecting your anticipated opt-out credit, please submit a Bursar Payment Worksheet indicating your opt-out credit.
This worksheet does not remove the charge from your bill but it explains to the Bursar why you are paying less than the bill states. Filling out this form does NOT constitute opting out. You must formally opt-out via the opt out link under How It Works.
If you opt back into the program, the $390 will be reapplied to your Bursar account. This payment will be due immediately if your opt back in is applied after the tuition due date. If you opt out of the program after paying your bill, you may submit a Credit Refund Request or you may leave the $390 payment on your account to be applied to future charges.
